Chicago Chimney Experts advises that you have your fireplace and chimney checked each year to avoid fires. Our list of services help you avoid putting your home and family at risk. Make Sure You Have Yearly Inspections When performing a visual inspection, our chimney professional will give you a written condition report and discuss the findings with you. We inspect the readily accessible areas of the chimney(s) in the living area of your home, including the firebox, damper, and smoke chamber and /or connector pipes.

Outside, we check to make sure the chimney cap meets code and does not restrict the draft. Technicians inspect the overall intergrity of the structure while looking for evidence of deterioration, water leakage, or absorption issues.

Keeping Things Clean Can Save Your Life. Stove, fireplace, and chimney cleaning removes creosote in order to ensure safe operation and prevent deterioration. We employ a guaranteed "no mess" cleaning method. First, we place tarps/moving blankets on the floor in front of the fireplace and in high traffic areas. Following a Level 1 visual inspection, the sweep will ditermine the size and type of brush system to be used. We use specialized tools to clean the firebox, smoke chamber, damper, smoke shelf, and flue liner.

Following the cleaning service, a written condition report is provided along with all recommended repairs, preventative maintenance moves, and or system-improving products can be discussed.
